BOYCE CARBON is the provider of refurbished activated carbon adsorbers and
systems employed in the usage of treating malodorous,
VOC and other industrial plant emission problems. Our systems are permanent, hard-piped as well as options for removable adsorber equipment.
BOYCE CARBON offers Gas absorber apparatus and systems for the treatment of various gas phase applications, including:
- API separator vents
- VOC control from soil vapor extraction (SVE) systems and air strippers
- Wastewater and product storage tank vents
- Process vents
- Refinery and chemical plant wastewater sewer vents
- Laboratory hood exhausts
- Soil vapor extraction (SVE) remediation system off-gases
- Controlling emissions from waste processing oprations (i.e., tank cleaning)
- Backup VOC control device for thermal oxidizers
In accordance with specifications of the application, we offer systems that are permanent, hard-piped as well as systems which are removable.
With our removable systems, when an adsorber exchange is required, a fresh adsorber can be readily delivered to you by any of our regional office locations.
The adsorber containing spent carbon is separated from the site using a roll-off or flat bed trailer and shipped to our reactivation facility
where the adsorber is evacuated, inspected and refilled.
The spent carbon is reactivated and recycled.
In the hard-piped systems, BOYCE CARBON offers to you an exclusive service package that includes the utilization by OSHA trained personnel of the on-site carbon changeovers,
packaging and transportation of spent carbon for recycling at our reactivation facilities, where the contaminants are thermally destroyed.
The frequency of activated carbon exchange is totally dependent on operating parameters that in turn are affected by the carbon loading such as VOC type and concentration,
temperature, relative humidity, superficial gas velocity, carbon type (coconut shell or coal) and other factors. BOYCE CARBON is instilled with progressive computer modeling
programs, for carbon consumption estimates and optimization of system performance.
